Mother Ren

If you ask the unaskable,

And, imagine the unimaginable.”

To the blog

Hey my darlings and welcome. I am Mother Ren and somewhere in the world are three of the best travelling companions this explorer has ever had the pleasure of sharing part of her journey with. This blog, my art and all my future adventures are dedicated, and written to, these three vibrant vagabonds, and all the vagabonds that need some motherly wisdom as we journey through this landscape that is life.

As to me, my journey so far has been tough, arduous, sometimes terrifying but always filled with love, hope and gratitude at the people I have shared the path with and the lessons I have learnt along the way. It is a story rich in context, love, sacrifice and a whole lot of madness. A life I know you can resonate with yourself. As the Mad Hatter states, “We’re all mad here”. You won’t find me here in this about me section, none of us fit in to a synopsis. So use my blog as a bit of a Guide on How To Be Ren. Not to teach you how to be me (Lord no! The world has enough to handle with the one of me!), but to hopefully give you the courage and the inspiration to be your true authentic selves and live up to your own “Personal Legend”. (The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho)

So, hello my vagabonds, are you adventuring? I cannot wait to hear the tales of your travels when next our paths cross. So much so that I thought I would share with you here all my wanderings and wonderings before that day comes. Some of the places I have drawn we have seen side by side, some I have seen whilst holding you in my heart, but in all of them I see you.

I have left a hidden truth in each art piece to remind you that sometimes we must read between the lines to truly understand a thing and that love is more than words. Yet, words are what I always wanted to be able to provide you with, wise words wrapped up in a warm hug. My blog will have to do for now, but know with each word I am stroking your cheek as you nestle underneath my arm in the most tender embrace. No matter how old you get.

I know, one day, you will move mountains! Borrow my belief in you till the day comes when you realise you can believe in yourself . . . and, believe me, you really should.

Remember always that I love you to the moon and back (Durdledoor), and further beyond.
